Today and Always!

PP-Cake-wm

I am back with another Prettie Peek for the Paper Pretties December Release!

We had so much fun last month using a well known song for our peeks that we thought we'd try it again, and since we love giving things away, we'll have the same rules for prizes as last month - leave a comment on a card from the pretty peeks in the pretties gallery and we'll pick names for you to win the new releases.

This month, in keeping with Christmas we've chosen a well known Christmas carol - Winter Wonderland! Each day some of the Prettie Girls will upload their challenge cards based on that song. If you stop by the Pretties Gallery and leave that Prettie Girl a comment on her card, you'll have a chance to win the new set that has been used in that peek - make sense?

Ok onto my card!!!!!! Today I am using the new stamp set called “Time for Cake”, which was created by Danielle Lounds … wow what a fantastic set and I can see it having so many uses. The cake comes plain sitting on the cake stand and you have a number of different images that you can use to decorate the cake. As you can see I selected the circles to use on my cake.

I wanted to reproduce the look of the cake on the base of my card, so I grabbed all my anywhere hole punches in whatever sizes I could find and started punching holes into my pink base and then layered this onto the brown card.

So how does this tie in with the song “Winter Wonderland” … well part of the lyrics are:

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say: Are you married?
We'll say: No man,
But you can do the job
When you're in town.

Well of course they need a wedding cake if they are getting married right hehe!

The contest will end December 2nd and the winners will be posted on the Paper Clip. You can find the link to the specific cards in the Paper Pretties gallery on each blog post. So, lets get started! Christie's blog is first on the hop so get on over there and make sure you stop by and leave a comment in the gallery for her for your chance to win!
Don't forget to stop on by the party in the Paper Pretties forum on December 1st at 8pm EST when all the stamps will be released for sale.

Julie Masse, Jackie Rakoski & Kristy Ketterlin will also be posting a Pretties Peek today so make sure that you visit there blogs to see what they have done using this months new release stamps and the challenge.

Before you go don’t forget to comment on my card in the Paper Pretties gallery for your chance to win the “Time For Cake” stamp set used on my card.
